WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
Wedding packages start at $2500.
Portrait Sessions start at $350.
Most of my wedding day clients invest between $2500-$3000 in their photography experience, with full day coverage, a second shooter, and an included engagement shoot. If that’s out of your budget, I also offer an hourly rate. Don’t settle for less than incredible swoon-worthy images. Get in touch with me for a package detail sheet.
All of my portrait sessions include two hours of shooting time, unlimited outfit changes, and two locations.
All of my wedding packages and portrait sessions include receiving your edited full resolution images in a password protected online gallery with a print release.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I'm currently based out of my hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
WILL YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
Yes! I love a good adventure. I've shot weddings all over the Midwest.
WHAT DOES FULL DAY COVERAGE MEAN? HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU TAKE?
It means just that: full-day photo coverage of your wedding day from start to finish, from hair and makeup in the morning to dancing late into the night!
I typically deliver 400-800+ images. This varies greatly based on your hours of coverage and wedding schedule.
DO YOU EDIT ALL OF THE PHOTOS WE RECEIVE?
Yes! All of them. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to nailing color and exposure. And don't worry about dirt, zits, stains, wrinkles, or stray hairs - I'll take care of them, you'll never even know anything was out of place.
DO YOU PROVIDE A PRINT RELEASE?
Absolutely. You can print your photos wherever you'd like and you can share them anywhere your heart desires (facebook, instagram, twitter, etc).
DO YOU OFFER PRINTS OR ALBUMS?
Sure do! I provide gorgeous prints and canvases of all sizes from my professional print lab. I strongly encourage my clients to print their images; there's just something magical about seeing a physical photograph. Albums too! If you pick a wedding package that includes an album, I curate the images that tell your story the best and have them printed into a hardcover high-quality photo book.
WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP? HOW DO WE BOOK AND PAY?
Send me a message on my contact page. I'll get in touch with you as soon as I can, and we can set up a time to meet up and grab some coffee. I want to hear all about your personal love story and the images you want captured. If you feel confident I'm the wedding photographer for you, I require a 25% deposit of your wedding package total, and a signed contract. I send an invoice by email that allows you to pay by debit or credit card, and a digital contract you can sign and print out.
After a deposit is placed, the remainder of your package total is due two weeks before your wedding date, or we can set up monthly payments.
For all other sessions, full payment is due up front. We'll schedule a consultation either in person or by phone/skype, and plan your shoot (outfits, locations, hair, makeup, etc).
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Weddings are typically booked 12-24 months in advance, and portrait sessions 4-8 months. Don't wait until last minute! My open dates fill up crazy fast.
WHAT CAMERA EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
A 5D Mark IV, Two 6D's, along with a plethora of lenses. My favorites being my Sigma Art 35mm or Canon 85mm 1.2L.
SHOULD WE HAVE A FIRST LOOK?
First looks are magical. They give you an intimate moment together before the ceremony, and give me the opportunity to capture raw feelings between the two of you. Having a first look allows us more time to schedule portraits, and can also calm pre-wedding jitters. It's a win/win all around.
WHAT IF WE WANT A SECOND SHOOTER?
No problem! I offer packages that include an additional photographer.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
For regular portrait sessions, we can reschedule. For weddings, I'll don a poncho and rain boots, and we'll try to get some incredible rainbow or lighting shots. Weather doesn't worry me and it shouldn't worry you.
WHAT TO WEAR FOR OUR SENIOR/FAMILY/ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?
Whatever is comfortable, fits well, and makes you feel good. You can check out tons of stylish ideas on pinterest, or google 'what to wear for photography' for professional fashion guides.
My pro tips:
1. Don't overdo it on the matching! There's nothing that looks more dated than a family wearing all white t-shirts with blue jeans. Color coordinate instead. Navy and mustard, aqua and coral, etc. Patterns can be fun too.
2. Accessorize! Jewelry, watches, jackets, scarfs, headbands, and hats can take outfits to the next level.
3. For girls, painting your nails is a fun and simple way to add a pop of color.
4. Avoid shirts with logos or neon colors. They can be distracting to the eye.
5. Bring multiple outfits, or better yet, bring your entire closet! This adds variety to your images and allows us to essentially match your outfit to the location.
DO YOU HAVE A FACEBOOK PAGE/INSTAGRAM?
Totally! Navigate to the bottom of the page and click on any of the social media icons. You can keep up to date with my latest work or travels!
